CMOS Process Flow - General Introduction
After a short introduction on Silicon process technology and on semiconductor devices such as the diode and the CMOS Field Effect Transistor, the CMOS Process Flow will take you from a blank wafer up to the point that the wafer is getting out of the production line, off to the test- and packaging facility.
In this course you will learn how integrated circuits or chips are manufactured, and you will learn to understand the challenges the semiconductor industry is facing due to the permanent push towards smaller and cheaper products.
This course was developed by IMEC scientists, adapted and engineered by the Microelectronics Training Center, and reviewed by experts at AMIS, Atmel, Infineon and Philips. The engineering and review was partially funded by the European Commission.
