Around 21 universities in US and Canada have planned to join the Great Lakes Futures Project to protect the Great Lakes along with University of Michigan and University at Buffalo, the research officials announced on Monday 15 October, 2012. The university officials said that the Transborder Research University Network (TRUN) will be approaching the project in cross-sector and cross-discipline manner to find a solution for the Great Lakes futures.

Registrar of the college Sallie Marchello says that the college does not offer students any fully online courses.
