If you play sports in high school and excel in them, may be able to finance their college education through an athletic scholarship. While the best high school sportsmen are sought by universities and colleges and scholarships, other athletes can get scholarships, too. Many smaller colleges offer scholarships, but do not have the resources to hire. It's your job to find a way to approach them.

Call colleges and universities to find out the names of athletic directors and coaches of the sport you play. Make sure you get the correct spelling of names. Keep a list so you can keep track of which contact you. Ask a friend or parent to record their athletic performances. The whole game has to be registered, only their actions. For sports like athletics, only events that participate must be registered.
Edit DVD recording to highlight your best moves or plays. If you are not knowledgeable about how to modify the DVD, have a friend that they do. You can also find services editing the phone book. Continue with the letters of interest in visiting the school. Be sure to call ahead to let them know you intend to come. Show enthusiasm for each university. Be willing to accept the scholarship if it's offered. Sometimes offers are void, so you want to accept the offer shortly after it is made.
